Confederate Brigadier General Stand Watie

This is Confederate brigadier general Stand Watie. Watie was a Native American. He commanded Native Americans fighting for the Confederacy at many battles. At the end of the war, Watie surrendered his army of Confederate Native Americans in a town called Doaksville, which was in an area in the Native American territory known as Oklahoma today.
