Union Major General Oliver Howard

This is Union major general Oliver Howard. He was quite famous too and commanded Union soldiers at many battles in the Civil War including Gettysburg. During the war, Howard lost his right arm in combat. After the war, Howard founded a collage originally created for African-American people called Howard University, which is located in Washington, D.C.
